KHAMA was one of the few ethical brands to create alternative, unofficial merchandise around that big event in London in August 2012 (you know the one).
Collaborating with illustrator Tobatron, we created a range of bags made with 100% Malawian cotton, which were featured in The Huffington Post, Esquire Magazine, Wall Street journal, The Sun, The Evening Standard, Dezeen, Toronto Star, NBC, ESPN Brazil. The three designs were also included in the V&A’s permanent collection.
Tobatron is a London based illustrator with an eye for the peculiarities of modern life. His humorous and ironic uses of information graphics have seen him work across many design disciplines. His clients include, The Guardian, The Times, FHM, Volkswagon, Sony, and Toyota.
